Jessica Alba is hooked on the Olympics, and is spending every free moment in front of the TV these days. In a recent MySpace blog post, Jessica wrote: “I don’t know about you all but Cash and I have been glued to the Olympics. How amazing was the opening ceremony?!?”

Apparently Jessica and Cash are big Michael Phelps supporters and cheered for him the entire 400m relay final. On the race Jessica said: “The mens 400M relay was insane. We were down by almost a half body length going into the final turn and then next thing you knew it was closer, closer, closer until we touched the wall first! Cash and I went crazy.”

I don’t know what it is but this year the Olympics just don’t appeal to me. Maybe it is the odd hours or what not but I cannot seem to catch any action… Do you watch the Olympics?

In competition with other actresses is not what the American actress Jessica Alba is concerned because it believes they must unite and seek equality with their male counterparts.Jessica Alba career as an actress has reached a height that puts sound of equals with the best in the industry, competition for the best roles pals with Cameron Diaz, Kate Hudson and Eva Mendes.

But instead of having a competitive gap or feeling threatened by her peers, she is urging them to stand up and demand equal pay and equal treatment to men players.

“I’m not competitive with them (actresses). I root of all because we certainly do not have equality with men in this business, “Contactmusic.com quoted as saying.

“There are many more men much more money and head films than women, and more of us who can come and do best. I want my friends to produce, direct, act, write, everything.

“I believe that competition defeats the whole movement of women. I want to be encouraging my friends. Totally,” Jessica Alba added.

When it comes to her competitive spirit Jessica Alba isn’t interested in competing with her female counterparts. In fact, she is very happy for them with every new role that they secure. Male actors, on the other hand, is a whole different story… See, Jessica sees a huge inequality between men and women in Hollywood and wished to make things a bit more “fair”.

“I’m not competitive with them (actresses). I root for all of them because we definitely don’t have equality with men in this business,” Jessica said. “There are a lot more men making a lot more money and headlining movies than women, and the more of us who can come up and do that the better. I want my friends to produce, direct, act, write, all of it. I think being competitive defeats the whole female movement. I want to be encouraging to my girlfriends. Totally,” she added.

Personally, I think that the fact that she is so secure and are not intimidated by women is great for her. She is aware of her capabilities and knows that she can get roles regardless. The funny part is that by saying that she is actually hating on her husband, Cash Warren who is a rakes the benefits of being a guy in the movie industry… Catch 22?!? What do you think?

As for her daughter, do not expect to see her child through campaigns - Jessica Alba told the press that they keep their backs to continue until the celebrity she is out of the school.

“When she finishes college, she can do what it wants.” She also noted that May be a struggle. “I think at some point all young children express this desire, because they are so used to be treated as a star.”

Jessica Alba refuses to discuss her previous engagement to actor Michael Weatherly - because she doesn’t want to upset her new husband Cash Warren.

The Latina wed film producer Warren in May, just weeks before she gave birth to the couple’s first child, baby daughter Honor. However, she hates divulging information about her relationship with former Dark Angel co-star Weatherly - who proposed on her birthday in 2001, when he was 32 and she had just turned 20. They split in 2003 after four years together.

She tells Britain’s Cosmopolitan magazine, “That’s all in the past and I think it would be disrespectful to my husband - I have to get used to calling him that - to talk about it.”
